Science Learning!

Here I hope to have videos and other things your kids will make in regards to their learning as a scientist this year.

Scientists!

As we begin our journey in 5th grade and we set up our science notebooks for all of our learning this year, I asked the kids what a scientist looks like, what tools they use, how scientists find answers and what their personal interests in science were. Click here to see what the kids believe scientists look like.

Lab Safety!

For homework the kids created posters based off lab safety rules we discussed in class. Click here to see a video showcasing all their hard work. The posters will be displayed in the science lab for all classes to see. What great science leaders we have in our class!

The Skull Lab

We have been studying the four unifying concepts in science hat all our science learning will fit into. With the skull models, our scientists were looking at the form and function of the teeth on the various skulls. They used the information they learned to determine what kind of eater the animal was and the inferred what animal they believed the skull to belong to. Click here to see your kids at work!
